A very popular incense, Palo Santo, now comes in the form of incense sticks. These all natural sticks are made for us in Peru. 100% hand made with legally harvested Palo Santo wood, essential oils, natural gums and vegetable charcoal. Each 26 gram stick lasts approximately 50 minutes. 6 sticks per sleeve. Our supplier gives a portion of the sales price of these sticks to help replant these endangered trees.
Palo Santo (Burseara Graveolens) Palo Santo or Holy Stick is a natural wood aromatic incense used for centuries by the Incas and indigenous people of the Andes as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing, as well as to get rid of evil spirits and misfortune. as well as for ethno-medicinal purposes. It has a fine citrus aroma with underlying notes of frankincense, its close relative. It is often used by shamans in sacred plant spirit ceremonies.
Burning instructions:
Use matches or a lighter and leave the flame at the end of the stick for about 5 seconds until the tip burns.
Leave the flaming stick for another 5 seconds then blow it off.
If necessary, repeat the first two steps once or twice.
Make sure ashes fall in a proper fire proof vessel (incense holder, shell, etc.).
When done put the stick out.
Reuse or let it all burn at once.
Keep in a dry place away from children.
